Ps 2:1-12
Three terms used that mean the same thing. The nations ... the heathen [KJV] ... and the
people
To be distinguished as “unbelieving Gentiles.”
Ps 2:1
Against the Lord and against His Anointed ... The Lord’s anointed referred to here is
Jesus Christ
The unbeliever always considers “...the glorious liberty of the children of God, Rom 8:21”
to be nothing but bondage

“The fool has said in his heart, there is no God...”

EXPLANATION TO FOLLOW
This is not God’s wrath. This is His effort to break man...not of his free will, but of
his self will
Rev 6:15-17
This is God’s tough love. Those who reject it always refer to it as His wrath. It’s like
the behaviour of a spoiled child who is not about to accept the parents will. God’s love
from an unrepentant persons perspective is always that of wrath.
God’s predestined event from the beginning of creation. The kings of the earth had
selected the anti-Christ to rule over them and yet it is God who rules
